The 2nd International Digital Human Modeling Symposium was held in Ann Arbor June 11-13, 2013. The symposium was organized by the IEA Technical Committee on Human Simulation and Virtual Environments and hosted by UMTRI and Penn State University. This gathering built on the very successful inaugural event held in 2011 in Lyon and a decade of digital human modeling conferences held under the auspices of SAE International. The symposium was followed by a meeting of the Technical Committee and a standardization meeting.

Participants from 13 countries gathered to present and discuss the latest in human modeling. The symposium sessions were held at the Michigan Union in the heart of the University of Michigan's historic Ann Arbor campus. Thanks to all who attended -- we look forward to seeing you again at the 2014 Symposium in Tokyo
